4. Bobby Portis – Arkansas/F

Don’t look now but 6’10″ sophomore Bobby Portis is the best player to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks since their last great player, NBA all-star Joe Johnson. Portis is a versatile and highly skilled forward that can do a number of things on the basketball court such as shoot, score, rebound, defend and pass.

On the year Portis is averaging career highs in most statistical categories such as points (17.3), rebounds (7.6), field goal percentage (56 percent) and three-point percentage (60 percent).

Even though Portis might be the best player from the Arkansas Razorbacks since Johnson, he could become the next player to win the SEC Player of the Year for Arkansas since forward Corliss Williamson did it back in 1995. Portis on the year is the reason why Arkansas is ranked and is the reason why the Razorbacks will make the 2015 NCAA tournament.
