5. Charles Mann – Georgia/G

The Georgia Bulldogs surprisingly have one of the best teams in the SEC and a huge reason for their success goes to Charles Mann. The 6’5″ junior shooting guard hasn’t scored as many points as he did when he was a sophomore averaging 13.9 points per game, but now Mann is efficient.

On the year he averages 12.3 points on a wonderful 44 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from the three-point line.

In addition because Mann is shooting the basketball less frequently in games, his assist totals have increased. Mann is averaging a career high in assists with 3.7 a game and is also pulling down a career high 5.2 rebounds every night.

Mann’s ability to win the SEC Player of the Year is going to strictly rely on his teammates. If Georgia can become one of the teams destined to make the 2015 NCAA tournament, then he’s got to get consideration.
