Brooklyn Nets: Is This As Mediocre As A Season Gets?
By Adam McGee
Rebounding
The Brooklyn Nets have plenty of big bodies throughout their roster, so as a result you would expect rebounding to be a strength. The reality is it’s not. The Nets rank 21st in the NBA with 41.7 rebounds per game, which for a team as big as Brooklyn hints at them being beaten in terms of hustle and effort.
The Nets’ 31.8 defensive rebounds per game has them in 17th place on their own end of the floor, and far from as dominant as they would have hoped to be. It’s at the offensive end of the floor where they really fall short though.
At only 9.9 offensive boards per game, Brooklyn are one of only seven teams not to average double figures off their opponents’ glass.
