Scoring

Averaging 96.8 points per game, the Nets are currently ranked 22nd in the NBA in that category. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to find out why this is happening either. Brooklyn is shooting 44.7 percent, the 10th-worst mark in the league, and they are also taking less shots than most, with 81.4 a night, also the tenth worst mark in the league.

One of the biggest contributing factors to the Nets lack of shots is probably their style of play. Brooklyn plays a very slow game, only ranking 24th in the league in pace with only 94.6 possessions per 48 minutes.

One way to combat that would be to get to the free throw line more, but the Nets fall short there too, with only 22.7 trips to the line per game leaving them 18th in the NBA.
