Saturday, Jan. 17 – vs Indiana Pacers

Charlotte’s first matchup with the Indiana Pacers was yet another game the Hornets let get away. A little better defensive rebounding in the fourth quarter, and the teal and purple would have been walking away victorious.

Like I said before, now is when those mistakes need to be made up for.

Just like Milwaukee, Indiana is one of the Eastern Conference teams that’s in the middle of the pack. Charlotte won’t catch the likes of Toronto or Washington, so they need to target teams like the Pacers.

With no Paul George, the Indiana Pacers are not the powerhouse they were last season. These two teams could very well find themselves battling for the eighth spot in the conference. If that’s the case, these games earlier in the season will be looked back at.

Lance Stephenson‘s return to Indiana didn’t go as planned, but maybe their visit to him will be different … if he’s still in Charlotte by that point.
