Ah, remember the days when the Lakers were good? … If you listen closely, you can hear Jack Nicholson cursing at me for that statement.
Yes, for all those who might have forgotten, this was a season that the Lakers won a second straight title. It also was the last time they trekked to The Finals with fearless leader Kobe Bryant.
This was also the first season of LeBron in Miami with his All-Star buddies. While James, Wade and Chris Bosh were still early in their Big 3 meshing, they had already kicked things up a notch, showing off their strength as a team by defeating their foes in Staples Center.
This is the only Christmas Day game in which James has recorded a triple-double, and to top it off he burned the Lakers from every angle. He was spectacular in this showing, outplaying Kobe and leading his team to the victory.
Fun fact: James has played the Lakers three times on Christmas Day, though never on his home floor.
