The Phoenix Suns continue to fall in the Western Conference and a big reason for that has been the poor performance in the paint. The Suns are getting beat up at the rim and as a result, they’re now under .500 for the first time all season. They need to make a move to fortify the defense — specifically the center spot.

I’ve dusted off the ESPN Trade Machine to come up with five trades that would do just that — improve the Suns defense without completely gutting the bench.

All of the trades on this list work from a financial standpoint and although I’m sure my choices will create some waves with the most die-hard Suns fans, these are the kind of moves that are both a) realistic and b) a benefit to both teams.
