3. Frontcourt Depth

Dallas currently ranks dead last in the NBA in frontcourt efficiency. Tyson Chandler rejoined the Mavericks’ roster this season and he has had a positive impact on the Mavericks in the paint but his presence alone is not enough.

When Tyson Chandler and Dirk Nowitzki are on the bench, Dallas must rely on forward Brandan Wright to secure the paint. Wright is a highly efficient offensive player, but the combination of Wright and players like Al-Farouq Aminu is not strong enough against the top teams in the Western Conference.
