The Good:
Not much to talk about here. Ish Smith was brought in as the backup to the backup, and has only seen minutes in garbage time. The most playing time he’s received was his third game against the Milwaukee Bucks (9:19). Not much to see here.
The Bad:
Similarly, there’s not much to report back on this end. Smith is essentially a non-factor in these games.
Grade: D
It’s a harsh grade as not many were expecting much from Ish Smith when the Oklahoma City Thunder picked him up. It’s an unfortunate turn of events for Smith, who had his best season with the Phoenix Suns last year.
He provides speed and ball handling, and could give coach Scott Brooks the chance of running a hyper-speed three-guard lineup of Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson and Smith.
