Atlanta Hawks: 10 Points About The East’s Surprise Package

Elite Point Guard Play
The Hawks may not necessarily have one marquee point guard in the mold of Chris Paul or Stephen Curry, but at the same time you’d be hard pushed to find many better point guard rotations around the league.
Jeff Teague is finally taking big strides towards that elite group of point guards, and has never looked more aggressive, or confident than he does running the offense this season.
Aside from Teague, who will be in the mix to make his All-Star bow this year, the Hawks have impact makers off the bench in the form of Dennis Schröder and Shelvin Mack too.
Schröder has shown incredible growth this season, and it doesn’t seem crazy to think that he could be one of the league’s next great point guards, while Shelvin Mack is a calm and steadying influence who understands the offense, and is the picture of efficiency when it comes to playmaking.
