Live By The Three …

Another aspect of play that the Hawks have adopted from the San Antonio playbook is a love for the three-pointer. The roster has been tooled in a way that almost every player Atlanta has is capable of stepping behind the arc and draining a long ball, and that creates havoc in the mind of opposing defenders.

It’s not just Kyle Korver either. DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Teague are both shooting just less than 40 percent. Big men like Paul Millsap, Al Horford, Pero Antic and Mike Scott show no hesitation on pulling the trigger from deep either, and are all capable of draining shots to keep the defense honest.
