A look at Tuesday nights NBA action with a fantasy basketball twist.

Star of the night: Miami Heat center Chris Bosh

  • Another night, another game with the Phoenix Suns letting an opposing big man go berserk. Opposing centers have 19.5 PER against the Suns according to 82games.com, which isn’t bad, yet is the highest out of the five positions they allow.  Bosh exploded for 34 points, nine rebounds and four steals. He made 14-of-21 shots and knocked down four from deep. It’s the third time this season Bosh has crossed the 30-point mark. In five games during December he’s shooting 41 percent from the field compared to 44 percent in November.

Surprising Dud: New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson

  • If I did one of those daily leagues (I don’t) one player I would have targeted would have been Anderson. The Knicks allow teams to opponents to connect on 37.5 percent of their threes and NY’s bigs aren’t exactly the most attentive defensive players. Anderson shot 1-of-9 and missed all five of his attempts from deep. Anderson is still making 2.2 threes per game on the season, but there is still potential for more as he is shooting what sits at a career low of .328 behind the line. He’s been pretty much exactly what you drafted him for despite the slight shooting struggles.

Injury Watch: Dallas Mavericks guard Monta Ellis

  • Ellis did not have it all Tuesday night against the Grizzlies. In 25 minutes Ellis missed 10-of-11 shots and posted only two points, two assists and one rebound. He was dealing with some sort of elbow issue. Ellis said after the game he would play Wednesday night versus the Pelicans, but this is a situation to keep an eye on.

Sad Face: Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders

  • One player I was huge on in drafts was Sanders. He’s been a huge disappointment and that continued versus the Thunder. Sanders struggled to six points, two rebounds, three steals in only 13 minutes as he compiled four fouls. This is an ongoing problem for the fifth-year veteran, who is averaging only 21 minutes a game because of a ridiculously high 6.2 fouls per 36 minutes. The two previous seasons Sanders had been able to get that number in the four range. It needs to get better for the Bucks big man to reach his peak value.

Full time change or one night adventure: Toronto Raptors

  • Dwane Casey what are you doing to me!?!?!?!?!?!?! Landry Fields was put into the starting five and played 23 minutes. It was the first time he played double-digit minutes this season and the first time he stepped foot on the court since Nov. 21. He has not a lick of fantasy value. The two players this impacted the most was Greivis Vasquez and Louis Williams.  Vasquez only played 13 minutes and Williams hit 20. That’s not what were looking for here and hopefully it was only a one night thing.

Ridiculous Wednesday Night Predicition

  • Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard has his first 30-point game of the season against the pitiful Minnesota Timberwolves defense. He will also hit five threes or more.
