On the heels of Rajon Rondo’s and Kobe Bryant’s breakfast date in Boston, I’ve chosen 10 crazy NBA breakfast dates that would break the internet.
For those living under large rocks, Kobe Bryant and Rajon Rondo had breakfast together Thursday morning in Boston, according to pictures and news reports across the globe.
Why is it significant?

As you know, Rondo is a free agent after this season, and this breakfast rendezvous with Kobe has added hundreds of gallons of gasoline on what was a small campfire of speculation about Rondo leaving. Now, the rumors are burning down the forest.
Look, NBA players have meals and hang out with each before games. This isn’t a new thing or something special between Rondo and Bryant. As Bomani Jones pointed out on Highly Questionable, Rondo and Kobe don’t hang out with the people on their own team. I’m sure it gets lonely on these long East Coast-West Coast or West Coast-East Coast road trips. They’ve got to hang out with someone.
While I’m a gazillion percent sure Swaggy P would be more fun to hang out with than Rondo, I’m not a grumpy old man like Kobe. You know who grumpy, old men like to hang out with? OTHER GRUMPY, OLD MEN or no one.
The Kobe-Rondo breakfast date has got me thinking about other NBA players and who they would have to go to lunch with to make us go nuts.
Here’s the top ten I came up with, starting with LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
Remember, these are all hypothetical situations. They have not happened.
