3. Randy Smith – No. 9

Randolph “Randy” Smith was the 104th pick (way back when there was a seventh round) with the Buffalo Braves. Smith was an undersized swingman standing at 6’3″ with a 17 point average. He served as a two-time All-Star, and in seven seasons with the Braves became (and still reigns) as the franchise leader in minutes and games played, assists, steals and points.

Smith also held the NBA Iron Man throne before A.C. Green, beating Johnny Kerr for 845 consecutive games played. He also received popularity for being the highlight of the 1978 All-Star Game, where Smith came off the bench to lead all scorers (27 points). He was named as the All-Star Game MVP.
