4. Bill Walton – No. 32

It’s strange that most of the prehistoric NBA footage you see of Bill Walton has him in a Portland Trail Blazers jersey although he spent the majority of his time in a Clippers uniform. Walton spent three seasons with the San Diego Clippers and one with the club in Los Angeles.

His high with the club came in San Diego where he averaged 14.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

Walton spent two seasons with the Boston Celtics before retirement where he’d win a title to put on top of the one he won with the Blazers. Often making comparisons to and drawing memories from his time as a UCLA basketball player. Walton’s former head coach John Wooden described Walton:

"As a player, Bill was one of the greatest who ever performed at his position at every level of competition — high school, college and professional. There are many true students of the sport who consider him to be the very finest when all aspects of the games are taken into consideration."

As you can imagine, that book was released well before LeBron James entered the league.
