22. Kobe Bryant

On Nov. 26, 2013, the Los Angeles Lakers signed their star guard and face of the franchise to an astronomical two-year, $48.5 millioncontract extension, despite Bryant coming off of a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Bryant turns 37 in August, but despite his age and penchant for chucking, the delusional Kobe still believes that he is both worth that amount of money and that his team can still compete.

Check out this snippet from Kobe, seen on a story published on ESPN Los Angeles by Tim McMahon:

"So did I take a discount? Yeah. Did I take as big a discount as some of you fans would want me to? No. Is it a big enough discount to help us be a contender? Yeah."
