The Atlanta Hawks have made exactly the sort of start to the season that most people expected. Atlanta have been good, but they’ve lost some games they’d have been expected to win, and won some games they’d have been expected to lose.

So all in all, the question through their first 11 games has to be, how do the Hawks get more consistent and really push themselves up a level?

Although there are some obvious deficiencies that the Hawks could look to address, most obviously their defense of late, it could be a case of the easiest way for them to improve is by building upon their strengths.

In their current incarnation, the Hawks are a shooting team with a roster packed full of players capable of shooting from all across the floor.

Saying that, there are a number of those players who haven’t made their fair share of shots so far this season, and it has hurt Atlanta. As they showcased in the playoffs last year, the Hawks’ mentality is to keep on shooting and cause the opposition problems with their ball movement and floor spacing.

So knowing Mike Budenholzer is going to keep encouraging his squad to take open shots, let’s look at some of the players who will need to start knocking down more shots.
