Rockets vs. Spurs – December 10th, 2012
It took Lin a little while to find his groove with the Houston Rockets, but he found it in a big way against the San Antonio Spurs on December 10th. Lin scored 38 points on 11-21 shooting including 4-5 from behind the three-point arc, and also nailed 12-12 from the foul line. Those numbers were huge to help the Rockets stay in the game, but they ended up falling 134-126 in overtime.
Despite the loss, this game showed that Lin’s success the previous season with the New York Knicks was not a fluke. He showed the ability to score that he had, and he was a leader on the court as well. Without him, Houston would have lost to the Spurs in blowout fashion.
