Knicks vs. Mavericks – February 19th, 2012
Yet another game that started the star talk surrounding Jeremy Lin was when the New York Knicks faced the Dallas Mavericks on February 19th, 2012. Lin came through with one of the best performances of his NBA career, and scored 28 points to go along with 14 assists.
Lin shot 11-20 in that game, including 3-6 from behind the three-point arc. He did turn the ball over seven times during the game, but also recorded five steals. This was the first time that his true scoring potential came out with the Knicks, and it was part of what has ended up being a very lucrative deal and being the start of what brought Lin to be the Lakers’ starting point guard.
