Detroit Pistons (2-4)

My dark horse pick to sleep into one of the last playoff spots in the East isn’t looking so good right now. The Pistons are defending well enough, allowing only 95.8 points per game, but the offense is struggling to put up points with some of the league’s most inefficient scorers like Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith. Andre Drummond doesn’t look like a monster so far and SVG is still getting a feel for his personnel.

Panic Meter: 6 (Women and children first!)

If anyone could make sense of this muddled roster and its clustered frontcourt, it’d be Stan Van Gundy. But maybe there’s nobody who can fix this team. I’m not ready to abandon ship just yet, especially since Detroit plays in the East, but the low shooting percentages and injuries have really hurt early on. Best of luck, SVG.
