Atlanta Hawks (+2) at Charlotte Hornets

The Atlanta Hawks always find a way to surprise people, and so far, they’ve surprised me by playing really competitive basketball. They’re on the road in Charlotte taking on a Hornets team that desperately needs to find some sort of spark offensively.

Kemba Walker and Lance Stephenson have shot the ball poorly. I would know because they’re my starting backcourt on one of my fantasy teams. Stephenson has been the bigger disappointment, shooting 26 percent from the floor and has only scored in double digits once this season.

Meanwhile, there’s nothing to dislike about the Hawks. They’re 1-2, but road losses to the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs are nothing to slight.

Atlanta could use more production from their All-Star forward Paul Millsap, but they’ve gotten All-Star production from Jeff Teague, averaging 16.7 points and seven assists per game early on.

Until I see some consistent production in Charlotte from someone not named Al Jefferson, I think Atlanta wins by a couple of possessions and Teague has a big day.
