We’re officially only a week and counting away from the 2014-15 college basketball season’s tipoff and as expected, the Big 12 conference will yet again be an extremely fun an competitive one that will make some noise throughout the season.

There’s been a tremendous amount of hype around the incoming freshman class, especially the McDonald’s All-American with Kelly Oubre and Cliff Alexander at Kansas, while Myles Turner remained in state to join the Longhorns. Then of course, there are the vets that are expected to have all eyes on them such as Kansas’ forward Perry Ellis, Texas’ center Cameron Ridley and Oklahoma State’s Le’Bryan Nash.

But outside of the glorified frontcourts of the conference comes the guys who everything begins with and there’s no shortage of talented point guards to boast about in the Big 12, and it should come as no surprise as who make up the five most notable in the conference.
