2. The Phoenix Suns can beat anybody…

In case you weren’t paying attention, the Suns have been counted out of the 2014-15 playoff picture all offseason. The West is loaded, Channing Frye is gone and although Phoenix was a nice surprise last year, that might have been as good as it gets. The Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies were really the only playoff teams that didn’t get better this summer, so counting out the Suns wasn’t a disrespectful move, it was just a matter of business.

Through their first two games, the Suns were on a mission to prove that wasn’t the case. Against a depressing ghost of a Lakers team, the Suns took care of business as good teams do and didn’t let up in a 20-point waxing of their rivals. Two nights later, they held the defending champs to 89 points and earned their second win in a row. When this Suns team is locked in and knocking down threes, they’re fully capable of competing with any team in the NBA.
