Chandler Parsons will have the best year of his career

When you surround yourself with as much talent as Dallas has, you’re bound to have someone stand out from the rest of the roster. Last year, it was Monta Ellis.

This year, it will be Chandler Parsons and the Houston Rockets will regret letting him go.

Think back to last season: Ellis wanted to get paid handsomely, and he didn’t. Teams turned him down because they thought he was erratic and not a good overall player deserving of a fat contract. Dallas called, gave him a lower amount and he accepted with no reasonable choice, but he had an All-Star caliber year and he was the difference maker in plenty of  nights.

Parsons comes in with the same situation. The Rockets didn’t think he would be a piece for the future, he goes to Dallas and has the chance to be the future of the franchise. He will take full advantage of playing with guys like Dirk Nowitzki, Monta and Tyson Chandler. If he thought the team in Houston was good, he’s on a deeper team in Dallas that can win playoff games.

My best guess for Parsons? 17 points, six rebounds and around six assists per game. He’ll also shoot 40 percent from 3-point range.
