1.  Kansas – Sure they lost Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins, which would devastate most programs.  For the Jayhawks, well, they just reloaded with a trio of all world freshmen, a returning veteran starter and a potential impact transfer.

Let’s start with junior forward Perry Ellis, who returns as the team leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker.  Mix in Kelly Oubre, a long and athletic wing who can also step into the backcourt.  Sandwiched in between Ellis and Oubre is Cliff Alexander, a 6’8″, 240-pound beast, who will certainly aid Ellis on the glass and in some eyes rivaled Myles Turner for the second most sought after high school big man.

Add in former Arkansas forward Hunter Mickelson, who in 16 minutes a night in 2012-13 averaged five points and four rebounds, and returning Jayhawk junior forward Jamari Traylor as a key components off the bench.  As tough as it was for coach Bill Self to lose two players to the NBA, this year’s roster looks to be even more dangerous than what was anticipated last season.
