2.  Kentucky – The talent level in the Wildcats backcourt rivals the members of their frontcourt.  With a fascinating mix of size, talent and depth, the only thing that could be a negative is their shortage of experience.

Led by juniors Willie Cauley-Stein and Alex Poythress, Kentucky also adds in a imposing sophomore center in Dakari Johnson and a pair of McD’s All American freshman forwards, Trey Lyles and Karl-Anthony Towns.  If you thought Texas’ lineup was big, imagine being able to put out a trio of 7-footers on either end of the court!

Defense will be this group’s strength, as Cauley-Stein looks to replicate his shot blocking exploits from last season (recording the second most in team history), while Johnson and Poythress should see their numbers improve across the board as they step in to replace the numbers of Julius Randle and James Young.

The scary thing is, whether it be this year or the season after, all five members of the Wildcats frontcourt could be NBA bound.
