The days are just ticking down until the 2014-15 NBA season gets underway.  Seriously, we are one weekend and two days away.

Last year, a significant amount of unforeseeable and startling events took place that nobody could’ve predicted.  The major thing?  Injuries, injuries, and more injuries.

While we did have the most entertaining and fulfilling NBA season in history, and a wild playoff ride, there were far too many stars hitting the deck.  In fact, some of those stars stayed on the injured list all season long.  Nobody wants that in such a large, growing organization such as the NBA.

In the playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs dethroned the 3-peat worthy Miami Heat in a five-game debacle in the NBA Finals.  It marked the fifth championship for San Antonio in the last 16 years, and the Western Conference claimed the title once again.  Between them and the Lakers, the West has ruled the world for such a long period of time, you just expect it every season unless LeBron James is on a tear.

In 2014-15, are we set up for another Tim Duncan vs. LeBron James matchup in the Finals?  Are there going to be any surprises in regards to who makes the playoffs?  Will any certain player exceed expectations?  Who will win Rookie of the Year out of the all young studs in the 2014 draft class?

Without any more waiting, here’s 20 final predictions for the upcoming season.
