Category No. 3: League Pass Minutiae

OK so let’s go down this list …

Announcing Team: Brian Davis and Michael Cage

Davis is entering his seventh season and I think he does a really good job. But c’mon no one cares about the play-by-play guy. It’s all about the color analyst when people really feel have a strong opinion about an announcing team. Cage, who played 15 years is the NBA, is new to Thunder so it’s a mystery what he will bring to the table. Fifteen years is a lot of years so he should be able to lay some knowledge on Thunder fans.

Sideline reporter: Leseley McCaslin

McCaslin is entering her third year and does a nice job giving analysis on the Thunder sideline. No complaints here.

Uniforms/Mascot/Floor:

I am not expert on any of these topics. Luckily, Zach Lowe specializes in all of them. He has the Thunder as the 22nd best team name. And since Thunder can’t really be a mascot, I’ll say it, Rumble the Bison is just not a good mascot. He says the Thunder ave the 27th best floor pattern (out of 30. Yikes). The uniforms are meh. Nothing awesome, but not terrible.

Crowd:

I think it has been well established over the last five years that the Thunder have one of if not the best home crowd in basketball. Chesapeake Energy Arena is always packed and loud.

Grade: 5
