Boston Celtics: Best To Worst Players
By Marcus Bass
4. Avery Bradley
Avery Bradley’s four-year, $32 million contract extension received more criticism than expected for a player of his caliber and age. As Bradley’s minutes have increased with the Celtics, so has his production. It’s also weird that there’d be so many skeptics surrounding Bradley’s extension when his numbers from last season aren’t too distant to Klay Thompson, the player who’s most widely believed to be the NBA’s best two-way guard.

With Rondo out for the opening weeks of the regular season, Bradley will be top gun on the wing. Should he continue his play that won him All-Defensive second- team honors while shooting 40 percent from the arc, he’ll silence the boo birds that dislike his extension. Regardless as to whether Rondo stays in town or rookie Marcus Smart flourishes, it’s Bradley’s wing to own and for now it seems he has every intention of carrying that responsibility.
