5. Thabo Sef0losha

Sefolosha was a huge pickup for the Hawks. Although he’s been a knockdown shooter for the Oklahoma City Thunder in recent years, the added defensive pressure on the wing will compliment Teague and DeMarre Carroll brilliantly. At 30 years of age, he might be the best wing defender on the Hawks.

His move to the Hawks was more like exile from the Thunder.  He shot 48.1 percent from the floor and 41.9 from 3-point range in 2012-13, only to suffer a dip in his numbers last season. Thabo dropped to shooting 41.5 from the perimeter and 31.6 percent from 3. Certainly the high usage of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant had something to do with that.
