Finally! After months and months of agonizing patience, the wait is over. We finally have some NBA basketball once again…sort of.

The Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans kicked off the preseason festivities on Saturday night and the anticipation was unbearable. It wasn’t quite the regular season and it’s nowhere near the same intensity as a playoff game, but it was still something to get us excited about as the “real” basketball draws closer.

More, there may not be much to play for other than keeping the fans entertained and giving the coaches a chance to do some fine tuning to the line-ups as the regular season tip-off approaches, but these games could still be very interesting.
