7.) Gary Neal
Gary Neal is best remembered for his 24-point performance in Game 3 of the 2o13 NBA Finals, but he was actually a solid reserve for the Bobcats last year after he was acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks at the trade deadline. Neal strengthened an otherwise subpar bench, averaging 11.2 points and shooting 40.6 percent from the three-point line in 22 appearances.
Neal is your typical “spark plug” type of player; he can provide instant offense. With the ability to create his own shot, Neal remains one of the NBA’s more valuable reserves. Unfortunately for him, he’s buried in the Hornets guard rotation behind the likes of Lance Stephenson and Gerald Henderson (and possibly Roberts as well). Neal is going to have his moments this season, but don’t expect him to see a ton of floor time.
