10.) Jason Maxiell
Jason Maxiell never was, nor ever will be, an All-Star, but he is a serviceable big man to have on the bench. He played eight of his nine NBA seasons with the Detroit Pistons, and although he played limited minutes, he had a high motor and gladly took on the role of enforcer in the paint. Maxiell weighs in at 260 pounds, a bit heavy for a 6’7″ forward. With that said, he knows how to use his body, and thus has remained an excellent rebounder throughout his NBA tenure.
The Hornets already have decent depth in their frontcourt, and adding another rebounding specialist isn’t going to do much. With that said, knowing Al Jefferson‘s injury history, having an extra player capable of starting is certainly comforting.
