It won’t be long before the Charlotte Hornets take the court for the first time in over 10 years.

Training camp officially began on Tuesday (Sept. 30), and on Oct. 8 (just five days from now!), the Hornets will travel to take on the Philadelphia 76ers in Charlotte’s first preseason game of the year.

It’s been a busy summer for the team, and players have come and gone, but the Hornets start the NBA-year projecting to be significantly better than they were a season ago. They have their newly-formed “big three,” a super deep bench, and a heck of a coach in Steve Clifford.

Who are going to be the difference makers for the team next year? How does each player stack up against his peers? Here is the pre-preseason edition of “Charlotte Hornets: Weekly Power Rankings.”
