1. Travis Outlaw

Nets fans have $35 million reasons to forget about the abysmal Travis Outlaw experiment. Outlaw took his talents to New Jersey to the tune of a five-year deal in the summer of 2010.

Now, up until that point, Outlaw had never averaged more than 13 points in a season, much rather shoot the ball with any level of consistency. He’s only played a full season, twice in his NBA career.

Then 26 years old, Outlaw had a less than stellar season under Avery Johnson. Outlaw’s contribution on the offensive end was marginal, his offensive win share total was in the negative. He was even more detrimental on defense. The Nets used the amnesty clause to preclude themselves from paying Outlaw the rest of his contract.
