4. Trenton Hassell

Hassell was acquired by the Nets in the trade that sent Jason Kidd to his first NBA championship in Dallas. Then 29 years old, he split time at the small forward position with Simmons during the 2008-09 season and averaged 21 minutes per game.

Throughout his career, Hassell could be described as a mediocre player. He didn’t excel at any particular facet of the game, but because of his energy and work-ethic, Hassell carved out an eight-year NBA career. The Austin Peay State-product became more of a jump shooter later in his career, with roughly half of his shots coming from beyond 16 feet.

Hassell averaged a porous four points and three rebounds in two uneventful seasons with New Jersey.
