We’ve transitioned into a period where Kobe vs. LeBron is no longer the largest NBA parley on the web, or in your general barbershop.

Now, it’s determining the pros and cons of having certain point guards.  More importantly, it’s becoming the overall rankings of today’s point guards, and figuring out how on Earth to calculate and deduce your arguments for putting one ahead of the other.

Let’s definitely get something straight right off the bat.  Every time you place someone in front of the other, members of the other side of the squabble will get personally offended.   It’s just how it seems in this NBA society, with social media and news outlets paving the way for instant responses, and back-and-forth conversations on a daily basis.

On August 1, I published my 2014-15 Point Guard Rankings, in which Chris Paul took the crown.  To see all 30 starters and how they rank, here you go.

Some folks had a slight problem with the top five, and that’s perfectly fine.  It’s the offseason, and it’s subjective content.  It’s all about how you value different players around the league, and what your personal tastes are in a fantastic NBA player.

Today on the Hard Screens Podcast, we’re joined by HoopsHabit’s own James Holas — Twitter’s Snottie Drippen — to sift through the top 10 point guards and establish exactly where Russell Westbrook should land on the list.

Enjoy the show, and keep up with our work through the rest of the offseason!
