Three-Point Shooting

Mack had shown flashes of his range and willingness to shoot before in his career, and further emphasized that last season in Atlanta. The former Butler Bulldog averaged 33.7 percent from 3-point range last season, and although that isn’t necessarily the highest percentage, it was vitally important to the Hawks’ style of play.

Mack’s regular season average was based on 4.4 attempts per game, but when the Hawks changed their strategy to take more shots in the playoffs, he showed himself to be more than capable of adjusting. In seven games against the Pacers, Mack averaged a whopping 8.2 3-point attempts per game, and made an impressive 37 percent of them. If Mack can bring his playoff shooting percentage into this season, it would be a big improvement.
