Bogdan Bogdanovic Is Passionate About The Game

Check out the photos section of Bogdan’s FIBA World Cup profile. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Notice how many times this Sixth Man is pumped up about something? It’s kind of a lot, especially for a 22-year-old coming off the bench playing in an event as relatively unknown as the FIBA World Cup. Sure, this tournament probably meant WAY more to Serbian basketball fans than it did stateside, but still. Double Bogdan likes to get fired up.

In other words, more good news for Suns fans. Guys like P.J. Tucker and Gerald Green may not be perfect, but when they’re fired up and pounding their chests, US Airways Center feeds off that energy. In fact, my only criticism of Dragic’s magnificent 2013-14 season would be that he didn’t assert himself enough as a vocal leader, and when he did — like when he dropped 40 on the New Orleans Pelicans — the team and crowd went ballistic in response.

Now I’m not saying Bogdanovic is going to come over here and scream and shout his way to NBA prominence, but anytime you’re talking about guys coming off the bench, isn’t it better to have a spark plug ready to get the people fired up? The Suns love their underdog role players if Double Bogdan gets that juiced playing for his country in a FIBA tournament, it’ll be interesting to see how he reacts when he has his first big game off the bench in the NBA.
