Mason Plumlee

The most questionable inclusion on Team USA’s 12-man roster, Mason Plumlee wasn’t really needed during the run to the gold medal. The fact that DeMarcus Cousins vs. Mason Plumlee was even a question at one point is ridiculous and I’m sure Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski would have a theory on why that discussion even happened in the first place.

However, Plumlee did what he was supposed to when he was called upon. He was scrappy, he shot 60 percent from the floor to average 2.3 points per game and he essentially served his role as a big guy in the middle when he was called upon. At the very least, playing with Team USA was a good practice experience for Plumlee heading into his second season with the Brooklyn Nets.
