Boston Celtics: Rajon Rondo’s Greatest Hits

Celtics win 95-91
The Celtics were coming off an ugly loss to Toronto the previous game and Derrick Rose was out with back issues, so Boston leaned heavily on Rondo to get it done. Boy, did he ever. Chicago was the second-stingiest defense by defensive rating that year. Allen, Pierce, and Garnett combined for only 33 points and shot 12-29 from the floor. It didn’t matter to Rondo.
32 points. 10 rebounds. 15 assists.
Rondo got into a zone as only he could, playing purely off instincts, finding his shooters in rhythm and getting to the bucket at will. He even drained a jumper or two. Sure, he let C.J. Watson get loose for 22 points and six dimes, but in the end it was just too much Rajon.
