Rebounding

In his time so far in Sac-Town, Evans has played only a total of 24 games, but he has taken no time to settle in and showcase his rebounding ability. In his limited time with the Kings, Evans has averaged 20.8 minutes of play per game and grabbed an average of 7.7 rebounds. If the league leaders rebounding numbers are adjusted per 48 minutes, indeed Evans contribution in his short time with the Kings puts him at a level which would be good enough for him to slot into the 3rd spot.

Although it may well be quite a flawed model, and it might not be wise to read too much into such a small sample size, Evans has a proven track record when it comes to rebounding. For his career he averages 7.2 a game in an average of less than 20 minutes, and on two occasions, once with Toronto, once with Brooklyn, Evans has held single season averages of over eleven a game. Quite simply, Reggie Evans is an elite rebounder.
