Toughness

By all accounts, Pero Antic seems to be one of the most gentle and generous players in the NBA when he’s off the court, but things are a little different during play. On the court, Antic takes on the persona of a Balkan warrior, with his shaved head and formidable beard doing little to contradict his attitude.

At a time when the league is getting less and less fond of physicality, Antic is a player who thrives in contact.

He needs to exert that power more often too. If he does so, he’ll find plenty of big guys who are uncomfortable with it, and back down from the challenge. Antic’s toughness, both physically and mentally, isn’t necessarily the norm in the NBA, so he should make it a primary intention to utilize his advantage.
