Career History

Millsap has no real track record of shooting as prolifically as he did last season, so looking back on his career makes it hard to find any type of pattern. Aside from very occasional games where he would catch fire from three-point range, Millsap rarely even attempted long shots during his time in Utah. The most he’d attempted in a single season was only 39, and that was just the year before he left for Atlanta.

For his full seven years in Salt Lake City, Millsap in fact only took a total of 113 three-point attempts. His percentages weren’t sky-high either, as before last year his career average totaled out at a sub par 27.4 percent. All in all, his transformation as a shooter was completely out of the blue.
