1.) He’s talented

Jeff Green can flat-out play. Stepping in as the Celtics go-to scorer last year, a new role to him, Green averaged 16.9 points per game in just 34.2 minutes.

He has now been healthy for two seasons straight, and has appeared in every game possible. He’s reliable, and while he still struggled to find his consistency last year, it improved remarkably from the 2012-2013 season.

Really, when Green has it going, he looks like on of the best wings in the league. He eclipsed 20 points 22 times last year, and scored more than 35 three times.

He’s making south of $10 million a year, and while he hasn’t quite entered stardom yet, he’s still improving. at At 28 years old, his next few seasons should be his best.

Jeff Green is one of the more undervalued players in the league, and despite the fact that he’s on the market, his name hasn’t been discussed much this summer. The Charlotte Hornets would be smart to recognize his value and make a move for the former Georgetown star.

He’s the missing piece to the puzzle, and unless the Hornets want another year of being a playoff team and nothing more, they’ve got to pull the trigger.
