4. Polish That Floater:

This is sort of related to our last key area of improvement in that Warren will need to be efficient when he attacks the basket like he showed he could do at NC State. Warren is intelligent in the way he attacks the rim, making his way around incoming defenders in mid-flight or absorbing the contact to go for the three-point play. But in this league, if you bring that kind of shot to the rim without enough athleticism or finesse behind it, the NBA will kick your s**t to the curb faster than Donald Sterling.

Luckily for Warren, he has a nifty little floater that he showed off in college and during his time in the NBA Summer League. Warren’s floater is already a thing of beauty, but as is the case with every area of a rookie’s game, repetition and perfection are required to be effective in the pros. If Warren continues to fine-tune that floater, he’ll have another surprising weapon that will help him score over the tall trees of the NBA when he gets his minutes.
