Charlotte Hornets – Oct. 20

The Hawks have their third and final home game of the preseason schedule against another divisional rival. Charlotte, now the Hornets once again, visit Atlanta following a summer of exciting additions to a team that was already much improved last year.

Via free agency and the draft, The Hornets have picked up Lance Stephenson, Noah Vonleh and P.J. Hairston, adding an extra dimension to their roster.

The Hawks have traditionally enjoyed success over Charlotte, and that continued last season with Atlanta winning three of the four meetings between the pair. With this game coming towards the end of preseason, both teams should be close to peak levels, and hoping to put down a marker.

With the Southeast now looking like one of the most competitive divisions in the NBA, this game might just have a little bit of a bite to it.
