PG – Darren Collison

This one seems like a pretty easy choice. With the departure of Isaiah Thomas to the Phoenix Suns, the starting point guard spot seems to belong to Darren Collison. The 26-year-old has a mixed track record when it comes to starting. He has been very effective, such as during his first season with the Indiana Pacers, but then fresher in the memory is how things didn’t work out with the Dallas Mavericks, as Rick Carlisle lost all faith in him.

Collison proved himself to be extremely effective coming off of the bench with the Los Angeles Clippers last season, but with the current construction of the Kings roster, it doesn’t seem possible for him to do that in Sacramento. Collison’s only real competition comes from Ray McCallum. McCallum had a very promising rookie season, but you would have to feel he is still a long way from being ready to start in the NBA.
