Paul Millsap has only been a Hawk for one season, but it somehow feels longer. He has excelled on the court, and endeared himself to the fans with his quiet, laid back, Southern demeanor.

The good news for the Hawks is it seems likely they will have one more season, or at least a good chunk of it, left to enjoy Millsap’s play.

Beyond that, it’s almost impossible to tell. In the end, the most important thing for the Hawks this season is going to be for everyone to stay healthy.

Otherwise, the early years of Mike Budenholzer’s reign could well be looked back on as a case of what could have been.
