Wednesday, April 15

There are a few reasons to watch this game, in what promises to likely be an underwhelming matchup on paper, and probably on the court.

First, and this is clearly speculation, the Lakers could be fighting to get into the playoffs.

Do I think it will happen? No. Have crazier things happened? The Phoenix Suns won 48 games last year.

However, aside from that purely speculative storyline, we will probably be witnessing the last game of Steve Nash’s career.

Nash, a Laker for only two seasons (three by this point), will likely end his stint with the club as a massive disappointment, barring some type of miracle season in 2014-15.

But, Nash is one of the greatest point guards of all-time, and led some of the most exciting teams of my lifetime when he was in the prime of his hall of fame career. Above all of that, he is a fierce competitor and a true professional.

He deserves one last hurrah if this is truly it for him, and I know I will be tuning in.
